I have examined the accompanyiny Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to autho-

-rise the publication of a Newly Revised Edition of the Statute

Laws of the Colony"

au I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions,

It has been the practice in the Colony to issue a revised edition

of the Ordinances from time to time as the existing stocks became exhausted.

The last Revised Edition was under taken by Sir John Carrington a former

Chief Justice whose edition was authorised by Ordinance No. 12 of 1900.

Sir Francis Piggott the Chief Justice has undertaken to prepare the new

edition which is now called for and this Ordinance is his authority.
